March Book Club at Andreanna's

Thanks to Cindi for catching these fun pics. Jackie is so engrossed, either looking for an in depth, meaningful metaphor or cramming the last few pages in. Ha, ha. Just kidding. Crystal & little/big Peyton, wow he is growing fast!

oops!

I thought I was signed into my family blog spot when I was posting this. However, it could still stand for discussion for Chick Lits too! Anyway, please, please, feel free to comment, post, update, etc. this blog. I think we all have the (technical)"authority" to do so. Let me know if you can't or are not sure where to go and do it. Also, I missed the last two book clubs because I was out of town and need some feedback on the books. Let's get it started chicks!!!

the perfect blog?

Ya right! I only titled it that way because I have been talking with people and hearing their opinions of blogs vs. facebook, yada yadas... "I don't have the time", "it's too much work", and one friend said she couldn't keep up with all the clever & creative posts and updates that she had come across, to feel that her blog would even be interesting. I said, WHATEVER, just have at it. I love reading the different personalities and thoughts and "excuses" of the slow to updaters. LOVE IT! I still think this is more fun and I appreciate all the creative juice out there, sometimes it can get stifled with all the hats women wear these days. Keep it up or get started! BLOG POWER!

Here is the cover of the upcoming fourth book in Stephenie Meyer's Twilight series. How fun. Seriously, though, it is going to be hard to wait until August second for the release of the book. In May Stephenie is releasing a special edition of Eclipse (the third book) complete with a chapter of New Moon in it. I will not re-buy the book just for this sneak peak into Breaking Dawn, but I certainly will go to the bookstore and read it there. The movie of Twilight is set to start filming this month, with a release date projected for Dec. 12th. How fun. I can't wait for it all. Back to the book release. Bookstores are planning to have midnight parties to celebrate the release (similar to the Harry Potter parties) on August 1st at midnight. Last year, when Ecplise was released, certain smaller bookstores did this on their own. Let's make it a date ladies!!!

Stephanie Meyer- that's my girl

'Dawn' to break: Fans of Stephenie Meyer (and there are millions of them), mark your calendars: Her publisher, Little, Brown, plans to announce today that the fourth and final book in her series about teenage vampires, Breaking Dawn, will go on sale at 12:01 a.m. Aug. 2. Bookstores are expected to stage midnight parties à la Harry Potter. Last August, Meyer's Eclipse (No. 34) knocked J.K. Rowling off the No. 1 spot. A special edition of Eclipse will be released May 31; it will include the first chapter and cover art of Breaking Dawn. Meyer's first novel for adults, The Host, which features an alien species that takes over the minds of their human hosts, arrives May 6. And the movie version of her novel that started it all, Twilight (No. 22), with Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson, will be released Dec. 12.
